This week our maths focus is prime numbers and factors. On one of our math lessons we had to pick a number and try and make a rectangle with cubes and see how many rectangles we could make with our number. I picked five and I could only make one rectangle because I picked an odd number, but Hannah picked ten so she could make more than one. Now I know what factors are!
Prudence; I'm so glad you have learnt about factors! It is great using the cubes to visualise what we are talking about isn't it? Keep working at learning your times tables...in order! Makes a huge difference to improving in your Maths. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is great to read that your are learning about factors. I would love to see you include an illustration about factors. An illustration would really help me understand. In fact how about an animation? I look forward to your next blog post.
